At this moment it is not Possible to Replace sky with fwatch But it is Still being so maybe Updated One day Last time I Played ARMA A there Were Mostly ARMA1 addons But very few ARMA2 so it is good to know That it Will be changed;)

Last time I played ARMA:DA there were mostly ARMA1 addons but very few from ARMA2. Nice to know that there will be more ARMA2 content smile

Nerv's 3D sight was no secret as he told me how he did it and I was able to play around with it. the visible sight it self is actually a binoculars aligned to players sight. I tried to improve it my self but got issues while doing so. So I tried different method which works for me fine. I just took me a hell lot of time making custom animation both for standing, crouching and lying prone and I'm not half done yet.

Still waiting for more of Nerv's update. But I'm also doing some modifications of my own, like fixing some of Arma:DA animations. I wanted to convert Arma 2 models to OFP as well but I don't own a copy of the game. There are public models but I don't have the texture for them. And I'm to lazy to do my own texture. :P

In this mod already present my script, his name - loop.sqs in DataScripts.pbo. But his need FWatch. In this script clear text - exit on top.
1 click RMB - goto scope, and press and hold to zoom.

I would love to share my work as well but it still in it's development state and using it will mess your current arma:da mod. Its more on a patch for arma:da.

Check loop sqs and you'll find out how nerv did it. Mine is different as I don't use fwatch but standard keypress script detection for V and I just add animation handler so it will only work for version 1.99 and won't work for 1.96. My method use identical weapon with different pilot model so I use animation event handler to switch the weapon from standard to optics base on current animation. Downside of it is everytime I do the weapon switching you always end up with full ammo. I already have a solution for it that I'm working on as well.

BTW. Can anyone send me the texture cobra_ca.paa from arma 2? I need it for AKS74 Cobra sight.

Thats good idea! But I need in this time RMB or nothing. But you V key check by what condition? If gunner view?

Textures I may send you, but Arma2:OA - if this correctly - so good...

I check V keypress using the script found here.

Then check animation using eventhandler similar just like fwatch. Then I added bunch of condition checking to make sure script will only run when player is using a weapon with 3D sight. If weapon doesn't have 3D sight then it will use the 2D optics instead.

I think I can upload a sample tomorow since I'm nearly done with the script. but only for M4 and M60 guns for now. I still have to fix some issues regarding delay with high detailed weapon. But so far I'm pretty happy with the result and even played some missions with it. When I'm done with the script I'll start working on fixing the funny animation I made.

Please send me the texture. ARMA:DA have eotech and aimpoint for west weapon but none for east so I to add some holo sight for AK as well. Thanks man.
You still remember my email right? The one I used last year to ask about how you did the 3D sight with scar and m4.

And this work. But some problems:
If you press Num_Enter - and you can see 3d model optics (scope) 
If you create new camera in movie - too can some bugs...

In Fwatch you can see in script all pressed keys and nothing bugs to be.

Here is the sample patch I made.

When you press enter key weapon model will show not the optics model since it has different pilot view model and LOD1 model.
You can only run a loop to keep player camera in 3rd person mode when key is press or stop the loop to allow 1st person when key is pressed again. But I encountered a small problem in that part so I started using eventhandler instead.

I'm currently trying to combine nerv's method using binoculars as an optics and my script to handle adding and removing the binoculars. just to try if its more efficient with 3D optics. Thing about it is I have to lower the primary weapon in the animation which also means I should keep the camera in 1st person view when in Optics animation.

Texture you is downloaded?
I send tomorrow screenshot for you, and you can see how I made this optics. My model scope is biggest! If OFP engine not possible see closer with model riffle, then I resized model for sight, and result is gotcha!

P.S.
I think about this: What if made optic model with original model on 1st view? This scope be are hidden by SetObjectTexture "". If you press key V - model original be are hidden, and optics is be is viseble. If dont understand of possible this - may download addon The Predator.

I will wait for the screenshot.

About your idea. Do you mean attack the weapon model to the player model? Where can I find thepredator addon? It looks interesting.

This is the result I got using nerv's method + my method using handgun. Player can still use handgun as the script saves the handgun in another unit in case player decides to use secondary weapon. :3 I'm on to working out the animations now.

Cheers. I kinda like the game play with the 3D sights.

Cool! But if you press RMB to zoom - you can see cutted model near optics... You need scale your model biggest. And no shadows on model - why? And I, in animation, move down proxy main riffle!
You relized optics model with Pistol - that cool! Why I stupid doing with binocular? Thank you for this work! I may rebuild all sights...

I already fixed RMB zoom. I just move that part of the model forward and it fixed it. I got my model scaled to 1.8 - 2.2 depending on the weapon. I still haven't made the optics walking animation. The walking animation in the video was the one I used in my first optics script I still need to adjust it to work with the new one. I already got it working with most weapons.
M4, XMS, M16, Scar,M249,M16GrenadeLauncher,HK,AK74SU,AK47. I'm still working with the rest of the weapons. Tricky part was working with AK weapons but I manage to get it right without the model getting cut and at the same time keep the right sight size.

The Island in the video is my own remake of Everon map. It's not yet finish plus I have to remake kolgujev and malden map.

Прошу прощения, если пишу не в той теме или нарушаю какие-либо правила форума своим вторжением...
Но у меня неотложное дело:
Не запускается игра(а точнее, происходит crash при запуске).
Если что, то мною установлена версия 1.99 с arma-cwa.ru и пропатченная до 1.96 патчем с того же сайта.
Всё вроде бы правильно сделал...
Далее скачал сам мод Arma:DA (Aug. 2013 update) и закинул файлы из архива в корневую папку с игрой.
Возможно, ошибкой было то, что я запустил install.bat в директории мода...
Но если этого не делать, то мод хоть и запустится, но вместо симпатичных 3D прицелов будут совершенно неподходящие прицелы вроде прицела от M-16 вместо коллиматора...
Что не так с модо... С моей головой?
И если это всё-таки вина версии игры, то хотя бы обнадёжьте, будут ли ещё обновления или мод всё же заброшен...
А между тем - без преукрас лучший мод на OFP...

Да нет проблем. У тебя не запускается игра только с модом иливсе время?
К сожалению я не знаю в чем проблема, т.к. в принципе у всех по-разному. А прицелов там нет 3д, потому что было сделано 3 штуки. Я их не стал вставлять еще потому, что при ожесточенных боях много не постреляешь, т.к. тормозит. Обновления может и будут, но я пока не знаю когда, т.к. полно других дел с Арма3 модами. В дальнейшем суну модели из армы третьей и т.п.

Лучше надеяться на худшее, дабы не разочароваться.
